One of the patrons of Ripa Teatina is Maria SS. del Sudore (Our Lady of the Sweat), celebrated on 22 March, the patronal feast day commemorating the miracle that occurred on 22 March 1728, when the figure of the Madonna in a painting now kept in the church began to sweat.
According to tradition, a procession leaves from the Alento district, where the painting was found in 1685, and reaches the mother church in the upper part of town. The traditional Fiera di San Mauro fair is also held on the last Sunday of May. The town also holds the Torre Aragonese and the Church of San Pietro Apostolo.
