What data we process, and why
Contact form: name, email and message. We use them only to reply to you and keep them for as long as needed to handle your request. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Itinerary generator: the travel preferences you enter (destinations, days, interests) are used to create the itinerary and stored anonymously, with no link to you. A technical, non-reversible identifier derived from your IP address is kept for the sole purpose of preventing abuse of the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the service working and secure (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Technical logs: like every website, the server keeps logs (IP, requested page) used exclusively for security and periodically deleted. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the site (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Technical cookies
These cookies are necessary for the site to work, and the law requires no consent for them:
bi_lang— stores your chosen language (duration: 1 year);bi_csrf— protects forms against fraudulent submissions (duration: session);bi_cc— stores the choice you made in the cookie banner (duration: 1 year).
Statistics: Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand which pages get read and where visitors come from: it is the site's only measurement tool, and we use it to decide which content to improve. No advertising, no profiling. Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses. Some data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the framework recognised by the European Commission for transfers outside the Union.
Statistics run only with your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR): a banner appears on your first visit, and Analytics can store cookies only if you press “Accept”. In that case Google sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which tell visitors apart in pseudonymous form (duration: up to 2 years). If you choose “Essentials only”, no Google cookie is stored: Google only receives anonymous, aggregated signals with no identifiers.
You can withdraw or change your choice at any time, as easily as you made it: the button below deletes the choice cookie and Google's cookies, and the banner reappears. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of what was collected before.
Third-party services
Besides the Google statistics described above, town maps load map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation): your IP is sent to their servers to serve the map images. Links to external partners (e.g. booking platforms) are marked and lead to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing (arts. 15–22 GDPR): write to us via the contact page and we reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali.
Changes to this policy
If anything substantial changes, we update this page and the date you see at the top.
