What data we process
Contact form: name, email and message, used exclusively to reply to your request and stored in our systems. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Itinerary generator: the travel preferences you enter (destinations, days, interests) are processed to create the itinerary and stored anonymously. A technical identifier derived from your IP address (non-reversible) is kept to prevent abuse of the service.
Technical logs: like every website, the server keeps technical logs (IP, requested page) retained for security and periodically deleted.
Cookies
BigItalia uses technical cookies only, necessary for the site to work:
bi_lang— stores your chosen language (duration: 1 year);bi_csrf— protects forms against fraudulent submissions (duration: session);bi_cc— remembers you have seen the cookie notice (duration: 1 year).
We use no profiling cookies and no third-party tracking tools. For this reason, under current regulations, no consent banner is required: the notice you see is purely informative.
Third-party services
Town maps load map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation): your IP is sent to their servers to serve the map images. Links to external partners (e.g. booking platforms) are marked and lead to sites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification or deletion of your data and object to processing by writing to us via the contact page. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
