The patron saint of Suzzara is Saint Blaise, celebrated on 3 February.
The town's theatre, designed by Francesco Piazzalunga, was completed in 1895, during the town's September fair, when it was inaugurated with a staging of Faust; in 1905 it was the turn of La Traviata. The town also holds the civic tower and hosts the Museo Galleria del Premio Suzzara.
