The patron saint of Avetrana is Saint Blaise, celebrated on 29 April.
On 17 January, the feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot is held, marked by a short procession with the band, followed by the blessing of bread and animals and the lighting of a great bonfire outside the town. On 19 March, the feast of Saint Joseph, the Tria di San Giuseppe is held, with a procession to the central square where tables are laid with tria, a kind of tagliatella, which is blessed. The town also holds the mother church and the Torrione tower.
