The patron of Fossacesia is Saint Donatus, celebrated on 6 and 7 August in the Church of San Donato.
The summer festival calendar is rich: on 6 July, the Madonna delle Grazie is celebrated at Villa Scorciosa, on 16 July the Madonna del Carmine in Fossacesia Marina, on 26 and 27 July Saint Gabriel in the contrada of Piano Favaro, and on 16 August Saint Roch, again at Villa Scorciosa. The town also holds the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere and the Fontana delle Cinque Cannelle.
