The patron of Rapino is Saint Lawrence the martyr (san Lorenzo martire), celebrated on 10 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa di San Lorenzo.
The Festa della Madonna del Carpineto is held every year on 8 May with the procession of the Verginelle: the girls of the village parade dressed in white, pink or light-blue tunics and adorned with family gold and jewellery, while children of two or three follow the effigy of the Madonna. Every Easter Monday (Lunedì dell'Angelo) a procession leaves the church of San Lorenzo and reaches the sanctuary of the Madonna del Carpineto.
