The patron of San Vito Chietino, Saint Vitus the Martyr, is celebrated a second time on 15 June, following the first occurrence on 20 March.
The town holds the remains of the castle, built alongside the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere and donated by Pope Paschal II in the twelfth century, and the Church of San Rocco, founded in the seventeenth century.
