The patron of Scanno is Saint Eustace, celebrated on 20 September.
In Scanno's traditional women's costume, cords in different colours were once braided into the ties that replaced the hairnet, according to the occasion: red for the feast of Saint Eustace, light blue for the Madonna delle Grazie, brown for the Madonna del Carmelo.
