The patrons of Cassano all'Ionio are the Most Holy Crucifix, celebrated on the first Friday of March, and Saint Blaise, celebrated on 3 February.
In the hamlet of Lauropoli, the Madonna della Candelora is instead celebrated on 2 February, as patroness of the hamlet. The municipal territory holds the Cathedral of Cassano all'Ionio and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Catena, as well as the archaeological site of Sybaris and the National Archaeological Museum of the Sibaritide.
