The patron of Mileto is Saint Nicholas of Bari, celebrated on 6 December.
The town holds the Cathedral of Mileto, the State Museum and the Mileto Antica archaeological park, as well as a historic locomotive of the Ferrovia Calabro Lucana on display in the town.
