On 12 September Buonalbergo celebrates the Madonna della Macchia; it venerates her in the sanctuary dedicated to her, a subsidiary of the parish church of San Nicola.
The patron of Buonalbergo is the Madonna della Macchia, celebrated on 12 September.
The village venerates her in the sanctuary of the Madonna della Macchia, a church subsidiary to the parish of San Nicola: since 1988 it has belonged to the archdiocese of Benevento, but for centuries it was part of the diocese of Ariano, and Mass is celebrated there every first Sunday of the month and on Marian feast days.
