Our Lady of the Purification, patron of the Treaty of Campo Formio

The patron of Campoformido is Our Lady of the Purification, celebrated on 2 February, Candlemas day, in the Church of Santa Maria della Purificazione.

Since 2016, every October, the «Un giorno con Napoleone» event re-enacts, with performers in period costume, the signing of the 1797 Treaty of Campo Formio. In April or May the Spring Festival is held every year in Basaldella, and in summer the local tourist association organises «Campoformidabile». The town also holds the Prati del Lavia and Magredi di San Canciano nature biotopes.
