The patron of Sirolo is Saint Nicholas of Bari, celebrated on 9 May.
In his honour, the Palio di San Nicola di Bari is held, on the feast day or the immediately following Saturday or Sunday, made up of two challenges between the town's districts. The town also holds the Badia di San Pietro al Conero, atop the mountain beside the former Camaldolese convent, where an urn on the high altar holds the remains of Blessed Pietro da Treia and a wooden Christ carried in procession every year.
