The patron saint of Racale is Saint Sebastian, celebrated on 20 January, with a second celebration on the last Sunday of May.
In the hamlet of Torre Suda, Racale's only hamlet facing the Ionian Sea, stands a circular coastal tower 13.5 metres high, built in the 16th century as a bulwark against Turkish raids; the small church facing the Piazzetta San Marco is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary Star of the Sea. The town also holds the Church of the B. V. Maria Addolorata.
