On 25 July Filetto holds its patronal feast, in which the town's patron saint, Saint James (San Giacomo), is celebrated.
The town's main festival is the Festa del peperoncino piccante (hot chilli pepper festival), from 20 to 23 August: it draws on the local tradition of growing chilli peppers in several varieties and involves the whole historic centre with food stands, shows and concerts. In summer the Festa della Trebbiatura (threshing festival) is also held, a re-enactment that continues in the evening with food, dancing and traditional Abruzzese poems. The municipality also holds the Chiesa di Santa Maria ad Nives, the Chiesa Madonna del Soccorso and the Santuario della Madonna della Libera.
