Here too they tell of insects: the village is said to have been called Tripaldi and to have stood on both banks of the Sinello, until around 1720 an invasion of termites made it move. The first certain record is of 1012, when the count of Chieti gave the church of San Marco to the monastery of Santo Stefano: of that church the walls remain on a hill.

In 1861 the bell tower of the church of the Immacolata served as a bastion against the brigands. The village lives on farming and pigs: the ventricina of Guilmi is its sausage, and has its feast in August. Since 2007, in a municipality of a few hundred people, artists have come in residence to make works together with those who live here.
