In the old slaughterhouse, on the way up to the castle, there is the museum of the pig: it tells how the animal behaves and how the ventricina is made, the salami of these parts that is left to dry and then worked with powdered hot pepper until it turns red.

In the frazione of Policorvo there is a village of wall-houses of the sixteenth century: the houses, of stone and brick, served as the wall. The castle on the hilltop is Norman, and in the fifteenth century baron Michele Bassi turned it into a ducal palace: the scarped walls, the bastions, the cloister and the horse stables are still there. The village appears for the first time in 1156, in the Catalogus Baronum, as a fief of Roberto di Monteferrante.
