The patron of Pescina is Saint Berard of the Marsi, celebrated on 2 May with the patronal feast in the Church of San Berardo.
On 3 November, to commemorate the saint's death, the faithful make a pilgrimage to Colli di Monte Bove, Saint Berard's birthplace. Pescina is also the birthplace of the writer Ignazio Silone, to whom a house-museum is dedicated; the town also holds the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Torre Piccolomini.
