The patrons of Pianella are Saint Cyriaca, Saint Pantaleon and Saint Sylvester, carried in procession from the last Friday of July to the last Monday of the month.
On 16 July, the statue of the Madonna del Carmine, patron of Pianella's Carmelites, is also carried in procession; it is kept in a church left unusable after the earthquake of 6 April 2009. On 8 May, instead, the statue of Saint Michael the Archangel is carried in procession. The town also holds the Arco di San Silvestro, one of the town's ancient gates, and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore.
