The patron of San Demetrio Corone is Saint Demetrius the Great Martyr, celebrated on 26 October in the church dedicated to him, with a three-day fair. Tradition holds that on the eve, the «horse of San Demetrio» (kali i Shèn Mitrit) comes out through the church's main door.
Since 1980, the music, song and new sounds of Italy's Albanian communities have been gathered in the Arbëreshë Song Festival. In the local Easter tradition, a great bonfire, the qeradonulla, is lit in front of the church square, while the Greek chant «Kristos Anesti» (Christ is risen) is sung. The town also holds the Church of Santi Adriano e Natalia.
