The patron of Scandale is Saint Nicholas of Bari, celebrated on 6 December.
On the last Saturday of August, the Sagra del fico d'India is held, organized by the Pro Loco of Scandale. The town holds the Shrine of the Madonna del Condoleo, venerated in odd years with a solemn feast, and the Church of the Addolorata. Scenes from the film «Nessuno deve sapere» were shot in the town, presented at the Venice Film Festival on 30 August 1961, with many locals appearing as extras.
