The patron of Mammola is Saint Nicodemus, celebrated on 12 March, with a second patronal feast in his honor on the first Sunday of September.
The town holds the Shrine of San Nicodemo and the Hermitage of San Nicodemo, as well as MuSaBa, an open-air contemporary art museum. On the banks of the nearby Sagra river, today the Torbido, a famous battle was fought in the 6th century BC between the Locrians and the Crotonians.
