The patron of Molochio is Saint Joseph, celebrated on 19 March in the Church of San Giuseppe: the date, once fixed on 1 June, was later moved to the present one.
On the day of the patronal feast, a dish of pasta and chickpeas, originally offered to those most in need, is shared in a banquet extended to the whole community. The town overlooks the Aspromonte National Park and holds the Shrine of the Madonna di Lourdes and the Church of San Vito.
