The patroness of Taurianova is Our Lady of the Mountain, venerated in the Church of Maria Santissima delle Grazie.
Her feast is held every year from 29 August to 10 September, a tradition handed down since 1763. The celebrations culminate on 8 and 9 September, recalling the Madonna's miracles protecting the community: the religious and civic programme, with a solemn procession of the Virgin's statue through the town's streets and the ancient tradition called «u mbitu», draws an extremely large number of people, many of whom come to Taurianova specifically to take part. The town also holds the church of the Rosario and the Church of Santi Pietro e Paolo.
