The patron saints of Arzano are Saints Agrippinus and Justina, celebrated on 9 November. The parish church of Sant'Agrippino, built in 1753, stands flanked by its own 17th-century bell tower, dating from 1850; Saint Justina, meanwhile, gives her name to an 1858 chapel.
The town was once divided into numerous historic hamlets, including Piazza Chiesa, Mezzo Arzano, Piazza Silvestro, Torre and Piazza Nuova, evidence of a fragmented settlement origin later merged into today's urban centre. Among the other significant religious buildings is also the church of the Santissima Annunziata, whose facade is still visible today and dates from a period of great religious fervour following the schism between the Orthodox and Catholic Churches, when the power of the Church of Rome grew stronger and asserted itself throughout Western Europe.
