The patron saint of Budrio is Saint Lawrence, celebrated on 10 August.
Budrio is considered the international capital of the ocarina: since 2009 the town has celebrated this instrument, of ancient tradition but reinvented in the 19th century by Giuseppe Donati, with the Budrio Ocarina Festival. Among the town's other events are Primaveranda, held from 23 April to 1 May, and Agribù, the autumn fair usually held on the first weekend of October. The town also holds the church of Santi Gervasio e Protasio and the Ocarina Museum.
