The patron of Loiano is Saint James, celebrated on 25 July in the Church of Saints Giacomo and Margherita.
Around the same time of year, the Festa d'la Batdura is held, recalling the traditional wheat threshing, and livens up the town on the second-to-last weekend of July. The town also holds Palazzo Loup and the churches of San Vittore di Anconella and Santo Stefano.
