On 13 October Vignola celebrates its patrons Saints Nazarius and Celsus; the same day also marks the town's volunteering day.
Defined by the fruit orchards that drive its agricultural economy, Vignola is historically tied to Renaissance architect Jacopo Barozzi. Located in the province of Modena, the town supports its farming traditions with a well-established network of mechanical industries and service companies.
Since 2001, this town of 24,344 residents has served as the administrative headquarters for the "Unione Terre di Castelli" municipal network. Rather than resting solely on its sixteenth-century historical ties, the community sustains itself through active crop cultivation and a steady manufacturing sector.
