The patron saint of Russi is Saint Apollinaris, celebrated on 23 July in the Church of Sant'Apollinare.
The Fīra di sët dulūr (Fair of the Seven Sorrows), the oldest sagra in Ravenna province, dates back to the 17th century and was tied to the Servite friars once present in Russi, who celebrated Our Lady of Sorrows. Originally, the feast was purely religious, consisting of a procession and a collection to cover expenses; in 1861, the town recognized the Confraternity of the Seven Sorrows. From 1988 to 2019, the Gruppo Canterini Romagnoli «Città di Russi» also organized the International Folklore Festival. The town holds the Roman Villa of Russi and the Rocca di Russi.
