The patron saint of Cattolica is Saint Pius V, celebrated on 30 April in the parish dedicated to him.
Since 1973, MystFest has been held at the end of June, an international mystery and crime fiction festival born from an idea by Enzo Tortora and Alberto Tedeschi, during which the Gran Giallo Città di Cattolica Prize is awarded. During the Festa di Stella Maris, fishing boats and clam boats carry the statue of the Madonna «Stella Maris» out to sea after a religious procession. Between June and July, the Notte Rosa is also celebrated along the Romagna coast. The town also holds the Museo della Regina and the Teatro della Regina.
