The patron of Schilpario is Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June; the municipality holds the parish church of Sant'Antonio da Padova, named after the patron.
The ethnographic museum was set up to preserve and give new value to the history, traditions and culture of the people of the whole Val di Scalve; the municipality also has the Museo delle Miniere, the mining museum.
