The coat of arms of Puegnago is the mistaken drawing of another coat of arms. The old one, in use until Napoleon's arrival in 1796, bore a single silver lily on a gold field, naturalistic in form and with stamens at the sides, a symbol of the Guelph party; it can still be seen in the nineteenth-century frieze of the Loggia della Magnifica Patria at Salò, above the inscription Puveniacus. When the emblem was redrawn, the upper part of that single lily was read as three flowering lilies, while the foot stayed heraldic as it was. Out of one flower, misread, three were born.
In the territory lie the three small lakes of Sovenigo, sheets of water of intra-morainic origin where Bronze Age pile dwellings have been found; in the largest, in July and August, lotus flowers bloom, brought according to tradition from Japan. The bell tower of the Castello quarter is of 1827 and stands within walls that follow the irregular shape of the knoll. In 1928 the municipality of Raffa was joined to Puegnago. Three thousand two hundred and sixty-three inhabitants in the province of Brescia, on the morainic hills of the Valtenesi.
