The patron saint of Chiaravalle is Saint Bernard, celebrated on 20 August.
Still today, in August, the residents of Chiaravalle celebrate, patronized by the town council, the Festa delle Capanne, a feast especially felt by older residents, who traditionally go by the name of Capannari. The town holds the Abbey of Santa Maria in Castagnola and the birthplace of Maria Montessori, as well as the Church of Santa Maria della Carità.
