The patron of Uggiano la Chiesa is Saint Mary Magdalene, celebrated from 21 to 23 July in the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena.
Late July, in the hamlet of Casamassella, brings the Caloma Festival, a thread linking the inland area to the sea, part of the «Casamassella, Borgo delle Tessitrici» (Weavers' Village) project. On 26 and 27 September, the Pittulata is held, a traditional feast and fair for the Holy Physicians. The town also holds the Castello di Casamassella and the Peschio Dolmen.
