The patron of San Vero Milis is Saint Sophia, virgin and martyr, celebrated on 17 June in the Church of Santa Sofia.
The area holds the Nuraghe S'Urachi and several coastal towers, including the Torre di Sa Mora, the Torre di Capo Mannu and the Torre di Scal'e Sali. The Centro Visite Casa Ramsar tells the story of the protected coastal wetlands.
