The patron saint of Orbetello is Saint Blaise: the feast in his honour is held in May, on the two central weekends, postponed from the actual calendar date of 3 February.
Coinciding with the May festivities, the Corsa dei barchini is held, a traditional maritime palio contested in the lagoon's waters among Orbetello's five districts: the three of the historic centre, Duomo, Piazza d'Armi and Porto, and the two modern ones. The town holds the Cathedral of Orbetello and the Church of the Madonna di Loreto, as well as the Palazzo del Governatore.
