The patron of Calcinaia is Saint Ubaldesca, celebrated on 28 May with a solemn procession; her relics are kept in the Pieve.
The first of the three events linked to the feast is the Sagra della Nozza, dedicated to a local cone-shaped sweet flavoured with anise and rosolio; the second is the feast of Saint Ubaldesca with the procession; on the last Sunday of the month, the historic Calcinaia regatta is held, a rowing contest among the town's three districts, Montecchio, La Nave and Oltrarno. The town also holds the Church of San Giovanni Battista and the Church of Sant'Andrea in Pozzale.
