The patrons of Brendola are Saint Roch and Saint Bertilla, celebrated on 3 March.
According to tradition, Brendola was spared the 1743 plague epidemic that struck Northern Italy through the intercession of Saint Roch, and since then the saint has been the town's patron; as an ex voto, a procession is held every 3 March through the streets of the centre, with cultural events. Evidence of devotion to the saint dates back to 1485, with the construction of a small church dedicated to him in the piazzetta del Vicariato. The town also holds the Rocca dei Vescovi and the archpriest's Church of San Michele Arcangelo.
