A bronze head found in these parts is now in Paris. And at Mandrile, in 1953, columns came to light: four Doric capitals and shafts three and a half metres high, of limestone full of fossils, which nobody ever finished dressing. A few pieces, over the years, have been sold.
The old church, Santa Maria della Stella, was pulled down in the mid twentieth century because it was about to fall: with it went the organ, the wooden doors, the confessionals and the font. In the new church the body of Saint Clementina is venerated. On the fountain in the centre are written the names of those who made it: two local stonecutters, Pietro Sigismondi and Adamo Meo.
