On 10, 11 and 12 September Castiglione Messer Marino, a municipality of 1,898 inhabitants in the province of Chieti, celebrates its patron San Raffaele.

The patron of Castiglione Messer Marino is San Raffaele, celebrated on 10, 11 and 12 September.

The patronal feast is joined by the pilgrimage to the Madonna del Monte. On 17 and 18 June Santa Teodora and Sant'Antonio are celebrated, on the first Sunday of July Santa Lucia. The municipality also holds the Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo, the Chiesa di San Rocco, the Fortezza di Castelfraiano and the Oasi naturale Abetina di Selva Grande.
