In mid-July, on the day of Saint Quiricus, the 16th, Sante Marie holds the patronal feasts in honour of its protector saints Saint Quiricus (san Quirico), whose relic is kept there, and Saint Julitta (santa Giulitta); the municipality holds the Chiesetta di San Quirico.
At the end of August the religious celebrations in honour of San Nicola and Santa Filomena take place. The municipality also holds the Chiesa di San Martino and the Riserva naturale regionale Grotte di Luppa.
