The patron of Picciano is San Vincenzo Ferreri, celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter; the village holds the Chiesa della Beata Vergine Maria del Soccorso.
The municipality also holds the Chiesa San Rocco. Picciano is home to the Museo delle tradizioni e arti contadine, an ethnographic museum describing the life of the Picciano community in its pre-industrial past. The musical tradition continues through the amateur band association «Città di Picciano», included since 2011 in the «group of national interest» by the national table for popular music, together with the town's folk choir.
