The patron of Atri is Saint Reparata of Caesarea in Palestine, celebrated eight days after Easter in the Church of Santa Reparata.
Quite different, and tied to another feast, is the faugni tradition: at dawn on 8 December, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, tall bundles of reeds tied with plant cords are lit and carried in procession through the town; between 6 and 7pm, the statue of the Immaculate Conception also parades, dressed in nineteenth-century garments and mounted on a canopy of the same period. The town also holds the Nicola e Luigi Sorricchio Ducal Garden and the Church of San Liberatore.
