The patroness of Colosimi is Maria Assunta (Assumption of Mary), celebrated on 15 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta.
The individual hamlets take part in different traditions: Rizzuti, Coraci, Arcuri-Gigliotti and Carrano had their own parish and celebrated respectively Santa Maria delle Grazie, in August, the SS. Trinità, San Vito and Santa Barbara. Carrano still keeps its traditions today, such as that of bread made from wheat with a communal wood-fired oven.
