The plague of 1656 grazed the village without harm and inflamed the inhabitants' devotion to San Rocco, whose patronal feast is celebrated in Morra De Sanctis on 23 August. On the Guglia di San Rocco stands the saint's bronze statue.
The Santuario diocesano di Santa Lucia, destroyed by the 1732 earthquake and immediately rebuilt by the faithful, restored in 1839 and in 2005, is at the centre of the fair of 13 December and was raised to diocesan sanctuary in 2020. Since 2012, in August or November, the film festival Cinema al Castello is held, in the Castello dei Principi Biondi Morra or in Palazzo Molinari.
