The patron of Cerreto Sannita is Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June in the Church of Sant'Antonio, once attached to the former convent of the conventual friars, today Palazzo Sant'Antonio.
After 1688, several Neapolitan master potters settled in Cerreto, including the Giustiniano, Festa, Scarano and Marchitto families, who made Cerreto's ceramics sought after and prized. Following the seismic events of 2013 and 2014, the Church of Sant'Antonio was declared unsafe due to structural damage. The town also holds the Collegiate Church of San Martino and the Fontana dei Delfini.
