The patron of San Lorenzo Maggiore is Saint Lawrence the martyr (San Lorenzo martire), celebrated on 10 August.
The Festa della Madonna della Strada is held on the first Sunday of June in the village; on the last Sunday of June the image goes down to her Sanctuary in contrada Piana, and the feast lasts until the second Sunday of July, when the Madonna returns to the village. Every Good Friday the battenti parade through the village, people dressed in white and hooded, who strike themselves with the traditional disciplina, a chain made of iron plates linked together.
