The patron of Foglianise is Saint Roch, commemorated on 16 August at the very heart of the Festa del Grano, held every year from 8 to 18 August.
The origins of the festival go back to pagan Roman harvest rites, which in the 18th century merged with the cult of Saint Roch. The most awaited moment is the parade of wheat carts on the morning of 16 August: miniature reproductions of famous monuments, harvesting tools, or works born from the imagination of the «carristi», made by weaving wheat stalks. The «straw artists» create braids and refined work that look like woven fabric. The town also holds the San Nicola chapel, built in 1579, and the Hermitage of San Michele Arcangelo.
