The patron of Pietravairano is Saint Heraclius, celebrated on 1 September in the church dedicated to him.
The town holds the Samnite-era Temple and Theatre of Monte San Nicola, and the ruins of the Borgo San Felice, as well as the small Church of San Felice Vecchio.
