The patron of Sant'Angelo d'Alife is Saint Michael the Archangel, celebrated on 8 May.
Around Ferragosto, the Proloco Archangelus cultural association organizes the Palio de li Normanni, a three-day medieval event retracing the history of the Norman Tower of Rupe Canina. For years the town has also held the torneo delle contrade, the oldest event in the small town, divided into five factions for tournaments and popular games. On the Tuesday after Easter, the townspeople climb the hill of Rupe Canina to celebrate Saint Lucy. The town lies within the Matese National Park, and holds a Roman tomb.
